Today we celebrate all teachers across the world for their inspiring dedication to future generations.
Join us in saying THANK YOU to our heroes!
This year’s observation of World Teachers’ Day will focus on the effect that the pandemic has had on education and on teachers; as Teachers became key workers during the COVID pandemic, as well as the steps that need to be taken to ensure that teaching personnel develop their full potential to play the role expected of them in recovering from the pandemic and catching up on missed work during lockdown and school closures.
World Teachers Day is actually a UNESCO day of observance, which means the global specialised organisation recognises the celebration as marking an ‘important aspect of human life and history’.
The very first World Teachers Day was held on October 5 1994 and has been celebrated on the same date every year since.
