Anti-Bullying Week

power_for_good_logoThis week is Anti Bullying week. The theme is ‘Power for Good’ which is about empowering our children with the tools to stand up to bullying and make positive social change. We will have drama workshops, a poster/video competition and a related class assembly from 2W.

On Thursday, we ask that the staff and children wear something blue to school. This could be a hair ribbon, blue t-shirt or perhaps blue socks. Blue is the colour of the Anti Bullying Alliance and by wearing blue we will show our solidarity. http://www.anti-bullyingalliance.org.uk/anti-bullying-week/

Gold Accreditation for our School Travel Plan

We collected our GOLD travel award yesterday at Camden Town hall. We joined six other Haringey schools in collecting our award from TFL Smarter travel. Three of our JTAs ( junior travel ambassadors) took part in lots of exciting activities and networked with other schools to find out some more ideas on promoting safer travel at school. We were very proud to receive the award.

Walk to School Month

Crowland Primary school arrived to give us Hari bear today to help us to think about Walk to School Month. We took Hari on more adventures and walked him to Stamford Hill Primary School. Six children from Year 1 were responsible for walking Hari to the next school as a part of a big relay around the schools in Haringey.
