We had an amazing time eating strawberries and cream last week. In addition to the fun being had by all we also raised £500! We wish to thank all the parents for their donations and those which helped to prepare for the event. You help was greatly appreciated. Please enjoy the slideshow below.
Trip to Railway Fields
We loved our trip to Railway Fields this week. We learnt a lot about animal habitats and learnt about many different types of creatures. We learnt new words such as micro-habitat, predator, producer and consumer.
As a part of Science Club we made a video book review for The Royal Society’s Young Person’s Book Prize 2017. We reviewed the top 6 science books in the UK!

Last week Doctor Loosemore came in to talk to Year 6 about nutrition. During the session the boxer Antony Joshua called to speak to the doctor and he put him on loud speaker. The children were delighted. Doctor Loosemore is from the Active Movement programme. He is a leading doctor in Sports and Nutrition.
Today the NSPCC came in to talk to Key Stage 1 about how to stay safe. They reminded us that we do have rights and if we are feeling a bit sad we have the option of ringing Childline on 0800 1111.
Today we walked from Sainsbury’s to school as a part of our Walk to school Week. When we arrived at school we were glad to see Snappy the Crocodile who had come to say well done!
5H have arrived safely in Pendarren. They are looking forward to a delicious lunch before taking part in the afternoon activities.
