What is Pupil Premium and who is it for?
Pupil premium is additional funding provided to schools for supporting more disadvantaged pupils.
It is hoped that pupil premium will address the current underlying inequalities between children eligible for free school meals (FSM) and their peers by ensuring that funding reaches the pupils who need it most and is used to tackle any disadvantage.
There are three categories of children that qualify for pupil premium:
Children who are eligible for free school meals (FSM)
Looked after children
Armed forces children
How Pupil Premium Grant money is used at St Ignatius
London Schools Gold Club
St Ignatius is very proud to be a member of the Mayor’s London Schools Gold Club, an annual scheme which celebrates and shares exceptional practice in London’s primary and secondary schools.
Gold Club members are schools that have succeeded against the odds in improving pupils’ aspirations and achievements.
We are the only primary school in Haringey this year to be part of this exclusive club, which represents the top 7% of schools in London.
Well done to our children for their achievement!
