Day 1 – Monday 23rd March 2015
The hours and the miles flew by as our class travelled to our destination… Pendarren House in the South East of Wales. On the journey, we chatted and read while Mr Latheron tried to sleep. He seemed greatly relieved when we finally arrived.
As soon as we arrived we were taught to make up our beds, and unpack our belongings. Then we went on a Croeso (Welcome) walk around the house. Everyone in one group was brave enough to stand in a real stream. Unbelievably, they were approached by a horse and some stroked its head. The other group collected firewood and lit a fire in a huge teepee. Anything is possible here. Now it’s dinner time. It is starting to feel like home.
Day 2 – Tuesday 24th March 2015
Today we had an epic adventure at the Gower Coast. We learned about coasts in the Autumn term, but finally got the chance to see one in all its glory. Both groups went together on mini buses, and explored the rock pools. See what we found!
Before that, we had breakfast and it is really fun here because everyone takes a turn helping to serve the food. Last night’s dinner was excellent. We had clam chowder and Mr Latheron helped finish off the leftovers.
Tonight, the story teller is coming to visit us. His name is Daniel Morden and we think he is going to tell a spooky ghost story.
